There's a silver lining to all this wet weather we've had in the Hunter lately.
The Lower Hunter's second largest drinking water supply Chichester Dam has gone from 63 per cent full to 100 per cent, following the weekend's deluge.
An extra 6.8 billion litres of water has been added to its storage.
Overall dam levels across the Hunter will only continue to climb, with more rain forecast.
Showers are expected every day next week.
It follows our very wet start to autumn, where it's rained 19 out of the past 22 days at Williamtown.
