Marriage equality will officially become law when it's rubber stamped by the Governor General this morning.
Last night the legislation breezed through the House of Representatives with a landslide majority.
Queensland's Bob Katter, Hinkler MP Keith Pitt, Maranoa MP David Littleproud and McMillan MP Russell Broadbent were the only members not to vote 'Yes'.
LGBTQI+ Australians will be able to register their Notice of Intention To Marry from tomorrow, December 9.
They will then be able to get married one calendar month later, meaning January 9, 2018 is the first day all Australians will be able to marry.
