A Queensland woman is calling for Australians to boycott petrol stations on Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27. 

More than a hundred thousand Australians have shown support for the day, which aims to send a strong message about rising fuel costs.

The event was started by retired music teacher, Sabrina Lamounds, who lives off the grid near Bundaberg.

She spoke to the Hit network about her event:
