Not only is it Friday today, but some of the greatest news ever reported has been published and will change your life.
According to a dietitian, pizza is healthier for breakfast than some cereals.
This is due to the fact that pizza has less sugar than most cereals, and also contains a decent amount of protein.
“You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories,” dietitian Chelsey Amer told The Daily Meal.
“However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning.
“Plus, a slice of pizza contains more fat and much less sugar than most cold cereals, so you will not experience a quick sugar crash."
However, before you get too excited, it's important to note that while pizza is a healthier option than sugary cereals, it's still not that great for you.
“While pizza can be a healthier choice per se, you may be giving most people an open window here of really amping up sodium, carbohydrates and fat early in the morning and setting oneself up for failure throughout the day," Amer said.
