Target has issued a recall of a line of popular baby onesies amid fears of a choking hazard.

The $10 two-way baby coverall has been recalled due to a potential choking issue, with the warning stating that the zip puller on the garment "may break due to a quality issue".

It is stated that the defect "may pose a choking/ingestion risk to infants", with the zip defect affecting 15 prints in the range.

This concerns products purchased between February and June 2018.

Customers are advised to stop using the product and return it to a Target store as soon as possible to be provided with a full refund.

Onesies purchased after July 2018 are not affected by this issue, with Target undertaking quality testing on the product.
