A website featuring petite models engulfed in plus-sized tights is being slammed for its offensive adverting.
Wish, who sell low-cost fashion direct from China, use the images in their online ads. Many show a slender model pulling the tights up to her shoulders or past her chin to emphasise how stretchy they are.
Critics, including the New York Post claim the ads "fat-shaming" while others have slammed the site's business practices:
“Wish targets customers with low-price goods such as dresses, watches, sneakers or jewellery shipped straight from Chinese manufacturers — but that also means delivery can take weeks and items sometimes arrive damaged,” reports Recode.
