Popular Australian Wines Recalled Due To Glass Pieces Inside Bottle Supplied

A popular Australian wine brand has been recalled after traces of glass were found inside bottles.

Warburn Estate, which produces the Rumours and Gossip brands, recalled 13 products from their range on Thursday .

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand issued recalls for these 2017 Rumours wines: Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Mostcato.

Gossips 2017 varieties were also included, such as Chardonnay, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato, Pink Moscato, Dolcetto and Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc, Wine Gang Sauvignon Blanc 2017.

Warburn Estate Sangiovese Rose 2017, were also recalled.

The products are sold nationally in BWS, Dan Murphy’s, independent liquor stores and hotels.

 “Consumers should not drink this product and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the warning reads on the Food Standards Australia and New Zealand website.
