There are concerns for the health of the boys trapped in the Thailand cave, as rescue operations continue.

So far, eight of the 12 boys have been retrieved and are recovering in hospital, with four boys still stranded - as well as the coach.

It is understood that the boys have been given IV drips in the hospital, vitamin B1 and vaccines for many diseases such as rabies.

Blood work is being done to check for any health concerns, and they are wearing sunglasses after being in the dark cave for such a long time.

Two of the four boys who were rescued on Monday have returned x-rays with 'irregularities' in their lungs showing up.

Others have also shown a high level of white blood cells, which indicates infection, and have also been treated for cuts and abrasions.

All of the boys rescued so far have low body temperatures and some had low pulse rates, but these conditions are currently being managed.

Rescue efforts are expected to start up again soon to bring the remaining boys and the soccer coach to safety.

The weather remains an issue, with heavy rains threatening.
