Aldi is no longer the top supermarket in Australia for customer satisfaction according to the latest Canstar Blue survey.
After three years at the top of the rankings, Aldi has been knocked off the top spot by South Australian supermarket chain Foodland.
Canstar Blue said, “Foodland clearly has an avid fan base – as well as taking out top place for overall satisfaction, Foodland has picked up five stars for customer service, store layout, product variety and food freshness.”
Foodland also received four stars for the quality of its private label products, special deals and value for money.
Aldi has been pushed back to second place, followed by IGA, Coles and Woolworths.
While South Australians are very familiar with Foodland, for the rest of Australia this might come as a surprise. Foodland stores are independently owned and have a focus on the local community. All Foodland branded products are made in Australia, and over half of those are made in South Australia itself.
