The Easter long weekend is finally here and if you're having to plan out your feast at the last minute, you're probably going to want to know what shops will be open in your area.
Well, luckily we have a good idea about where you can get your last minute choccies this weekend and where you can't...
SYDNEY & CANBERRA
Sydney-siders will be pleased to know that quite a few restaurants and cafés will be open for business during the long weekend however, most will be closed on Good Friday.
Your local Coles, Woolworths, ALDI and IGA's will all be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday however, some smaller IGA's may be open for business...
Some supermarkets will open again on Saturday and Easter Monday, however, it is best to check with your local store as some stores may open whilst others will remain closed.
Big retailers such as Kmart and Target will definitely be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday however, will be open on Easter Saturday in some locations.
Again, it's best to check with your local store.
Like Sydney, Melbourne will have a variety of restaurants and bars open for business every day during the long weekend, except Good Friday.
Coles, Woolworths, ALDI and IGA's will also be closed on Good Friday, with most metro locations remaining closed on Easter Sunday, however, some locations may be open for business on Saturday and easter Monday.
The best bet is to check their specific opening hours with your local store.
Same goes for Kmart and target, with all stores closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday and some locations opening their doors on Saturday and easter Monday.

You also have a variety of restaurants and cafés that will be open after Good Friday, but some of your supermarkets will actually be open on easter Sunday.

The bad news is that Coles, Woolworths, ALDI and most IGA's will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, meaning that if you need any last minute groceries, you're going to have to haul yourself down to your local supermarket on Saturday before everyone else does.
Your Kmarts and Targets will also be closed Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday... but at least Bunnings will be serving you snags from Saturday onwards!
Those in Perth will pleased to know that there are PLENTY of cafés and restaurants that are happy to feed you over the long weekend, so if you're not one for cooking, you'll be able to get a nice meal no matter where you are in the city!
