Deputy PM Barnaby Joyce and his former staffer Vikki Campion are expecting a baby, the Daily Telegraph reveals.
Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, 50, has reportedly moved in with his 33-year-old and they are expecting their first child around April.
Mr Joyce has confirmed he has left his wife of 24 years and mother of his four children, Natalie Joyce amidst the same-sex marriage debate, where he advocated for his belief in the traditional definition of marriage.
“The current definition of marriage has stood the test of time – half of them fail, I acknowledge that,” Joyce told Fairfax at the time.
“I’ll acknowledge that I'm currently separated, so that's on the record.”
In 2011 Mr Joyce controversially used his daughters to support his beliefs:
"We know that the best protection for those girls is that they get themselves into a secure relationship with a loving husband, and I want that to happen for them. I don't want any legislator to take that right away from me."
Ms Campion left her role in Mr Joyce's office last year.
