The world’s cheapest airlines have been named – and an Aussie airline has taken out the top spot.
Tigerair has topped the list as the world’s cheapest airline, followed by AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, Jetstar and Etihad.
The research carried out by Travel start-up, Rome2Rio, found Tigerair cost just $0.08/km.
Meanwhile, the most expensive Australian airline on the list was Regional Express at $US0.59/km ($A0.78/km). Aussie fave Qantas was at A$0.20/km. Virgin Air came in at A$0.15/km.
