Wet weather wreaking havoc with local sport

Concerns over whether the weather will wash out the next round of North Coast AFL too.

Half of the competition was forced to delay their start to the 2017 season last weekend, with Coffs Breakers sidelined for their match against Grafton.

Coaches, players and umpires have their fingers crossed possible thunderstorms and showers forecasted for tomorrow and Saturday won’t dampen grounds too much.

Previewing this weekend's scheduled matches:

Reigning premiers Sawtell-Toormina take on Grafton on their home turf, buoyed by a win against the Magpies for their season opener.

Meantime Port Macquarie locks eyes with Coffs, both vying for their first victory.
