The Mid North Coast Rural Fire Service are thankful for recent rainfall, and hoping more is on the horizon.
The falls have allowed our fire crews to strengthen their containment lines, but it's only providing brief respite before the fire season heats up again.
Kam Baker from the regions RFS says whilst welcome, the rain will not be sufficient to reduce the bush fire risk, and fire permits will remain suspended
With so many fires still under investigation, the RFS has asked communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Crimestoppers
We're also asked to make sure a bush fire survival plan is ready, should it need to be implemented.
