Police say a 31-year-old man and 21-year-old woman demanded cash and the mobile phone of a female taxi driver waiting for their fare in Belgrave Street.

They then reportedly ordered her to drive them to a Leith Street property in the town's west.

Officers arrested them at a unit there yesterday, with a scuffle breaking out.
