UPDATE 1:32PM:

Port Macquarie North Shore reports unless the Moderate flood warning changes to Major flood, Riverside Drive homes should not be affected apart from the inconvenience caused by ferry interruptions, lack of power, etc.

Rainfall has eased over the Hastings River valley since 07:00 am Sunday morning.

No significant rain is forecast for the remainder of Sunday.

Moderate flooding is occurring along the Hastings River at Kindee Bridge and Wauchope.

The River at Kindee Bridge peaked near 7.28 metres this morning with moderate flooding.

The River at Wauchope is likely to peak near 4.70 metres this afternoon with moderate flooding.

The Hastings River at Settlement Point is likely to remain just below the minor flood level (1.20 metres).

EARLIER: The BOM has issued a Moderate flood warning for the Hastings River at both Wauchope and Kindee.

The SES says the floods have the potential disrupt to the ferry services in Port Macquarie tonight and into Monday, and Rawdon Island may become isolated.

Vulnerable people in the Rawdon Island area should consider early relocation due to possible isolation and interruptions to supply of essential utilities and services - People at risk include (but are not limited to):
 People with a chronic illness eg. oxygen dependent or require dialysis
 People with young babies/infants
 People with sick young children
 Elderly frail people
 People with a disability who require specialised care

Up to 106 millimetres of rain has been recorded during the past 12 hours to 09:00 am Sunday over the Hastings River valley. No significant rain is forecast for the remainder of Sunday.

As a result the Bureau of Meteorology has predicted that the Hastings River will;

 Peak near 7.28 metres at Kindee this morning with moderate flooding
This has resulted in flood water inundating low-lying roads, bridges and causeways. It may also cause the inundation of low-lying properties in the area.

 Peak near 4.30 metres at Wauchope Sunday afternoon
This will cause minor flooding on the Hastings River around Wauchope.

Currently there is a minor flood warning issued for the Hastings River at Settlement Point. The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted the River is likely to remain just below the minor flood level of 1.2 metres at the Settlement Point gauge at around 10:00pm tonight

Flood water may start to come across low lying sections of the following roads and enter low lying properties in:
 Bains Bridge
 Cameron Street
 King Street
 Kings Creek & Wrights Creek
 Blackbutt Park
 Remain just below the minor flood level at Settlement Point (1.20m) late tonight.

This may result in water starting to come across low lying parts of Settlement Point Road and Hibbard Drive.
