Man charged after shooting gun following incident at Bowraville hotel
Cannabis, firearm located during arrest.
A man will face Coffs Harbour local court today charged with 10 offences, after he shot a gun in a public place in Bowraville on Sunday night.
Following an incident at hotel in the town, Mid North Coast police were informed that a 30-year-old man drove to a nearby street and allegedly discharged a rifle.
No one was injured.
Following an investigation, officers arrested a the man in a vehicle on Blackberry Road at 1:30pm yesterday, while a subsequent search of a home in that street allegedly yielded cannabis seeds, plants and a .22 calibre firearm.
The 30-year-old was later charged with common assault, armed with intent, discharge firearm in a public place intimidate police officer, possess prohibited drug, cultivate prohibited plant, possess unauthorised firearm, use unauthorised firearm, possess unregistered firearm and not keep firearm safe.
