Fire wrecks Port Macquarie boat worth $35k
Nearly spread to others
A $35,000 boat's been wrecked by fire at Port Macquarie's Hibbard Boatyard overnight.
Emergency services called out 8:30pm as flames licked the wooden motor-cruiser.
Three Fire and Rescue NSW trucks battled the inferno, managing to stop it spreading to other boats moored at the facility.
No one was on the boat at the time.
Police aren't treating the inferno as suspicious and it’s believed an electrical fault was behind the blaze.
