A high-ranking member of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged following a search warrant executed on Wednesday.

Strike Force Addax was established in January 2018 by Mid North Coast Police District investigators to target bikie gangs in the region. 

About 11.30am, strike force investigators, with the assistance of Raptor North, executed a search warrant at a home in Thrumster.

During the search, police located and seized methylamphetamine, cash, a push dagger, and a Rolex watch suspected to be stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained.

All items were secured for forensic analysis.

A 39-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were arrested at the home. They were both taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.

The 39-year-old man was charged with a string of offences. They include:

  • Reckless grievous bodily harm
  • Attempted kidnap and threaten person with intent to influence witness
  • Demand property with menace
  • Assault occasioning actual bodily harm
  • Possess weapon without permit (x2)
  • Possess prohibited drug (x3)
  • Supply prohibited drug (x6)
  • Goods in custody
  • Deal with proceeds of crime
  • Supply prohibited drug – commercial quantity
  • Contravene a weapons prohibition order.

The man, who is a high-ranking member of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang, was refused bail at Port Macquarie Local Court today. He's next expected to appear in court on August 9.

The 35-year-old woman was charged with knowingly taking part in the supply of a prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited drug (x2).
