There have been 3 reported cases of persons passing counterfeit $50 notes at businesses in Port Macquarie.

All business owners and retail employees should carefully check $50 notes before accepting them as payment.

If you discover a counterfeit note, you should immediately report it to Police and retain the $50 note.

Detectives would also like to identify the male (pictured) who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Anyone with information about the identity of the male or the counterfeit currency are asked to come forward.
