Doing some wine tasting on a beautiful afternoon is always time well spent, but imagine getting some time with cute animals too… PERFECT!

Healesville Sanctuary’s Wine & Wildlife festival will return next month to show off Yarra Valley’s finest wines, plus the gorgeous animals that call the zoo home.

You can wander around the property and taste from up to 14 different wineries, like De Bortoli, Cherry Hill Orchards and One Block. There will also be a mulled wine and gin bar, beer garden and chocolate bar. The food stalls are also be stocked - expect to see K&B BBQ ribs, truffle salt pretzels and pork or jackfruit burgers.

While you enjoy a sip of wine or a bite to eat, Healesville’s keepers will be up and about introducing you to some furry and scaly creatures. The entertainment will be bliss with lawn games, bands and didgeridoo performances with Murrundindi. You can even practice your golf swing!

Definitely worth the drive for both you and your designated driver, or if you all need a break from the roads, shuttle buses are available for the event!

All proceeds go towards the fight to save the endangered Tassie Devil from extinction.
