Whether it’s on a cheese board or an afternoon snack, salami is one of the best ways to enjoy beef and pork. So much so, Melbourne is getting a festival dedicated to it!
Melbourne Salami Festa 2018 is all about the annual Italian tradition of sharing salami in celebration. You can expect just that – live music, homemade Italian cooking and entertainment.
The food offering is something else, with over 20 food trucks and stalls pulling up to Welcome To Thornbury on the day. Mamasita, Fancy Hank’s and Eat Cannoli will make an appearance, as well as La Villa Saumi, Faranda Farms and Rita Sicilian Preserves.
During the event, there will be a competition to see which famous can make the best salami in town. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn the secrets to the perfect dish and watch some homemade Italian cooking. If you are looking to make a day of it, you can book separate sessions to learn how it’s done.
