The beach is awesome on a summer's day but there's a lot more going on. Metricon Homes want you to get to the events that make our city the best city in the world during the summer of love, love, love.

For your chance to win VIP access to heaps of stuff, enter here.

As soon as the temp reaches 28+, everyone heads to the beach. Why wouldn’t they? Victoria has some awesome beaches!

We’ve listed only a few below. Take a scroll, then think about an original excuse to take the day off to spend the day in your bathers.

St Kilda Beach

It’s understandable why heaps of people turn up on a hot day. It’s only a tram ride form the city, with awesome bars, restaurants and entertainment a short walk away.

Brighton Beach

The stunning bathing boxes distract visitors, who max out their phone storage with the amount of pics taken. Use this to your advantage. It leaves more room for you on the sand and in the water.

Altona Beach

A very nice beach, especially if you drop by on a balmy night.

90 Mile Beach

The whole 55km is amazing, with enough room to find your own private patch.

Post

Squeaky Beach

This is only one beach in Wilson’s Prom. You need to take a short walk to get to it which is probably why not many people know about it.

Post

Bells Beach

If there’s one place to surf on the Victorian coast, it’s Bells. This is where they hold surfing comps, so you know it’s good.

Logans Beach

This is a lovely beach just outside Warrnambool where you can see whales if you’re there at the right time of year – making it a great beach for summer, and all year-round.
