Melbourne is hosting a festival dedicated to the prince of foods, the humble dim sim, next month.

The Dimmy & Dumpling Festival at Welcome To Thornbury in the inner north is a two day eat-a-thon that will bring together some of Melbourne’s best eateries.

The Brunswick Mess Hall, Pierogi Pierogi, Woking Amazing, Momoremelbourne, Curry Up Now and Sparrow’s Philly Cheesesteaks are all confirmed.

Festivities begin at midday on the Saturday and end at 10pm on the Sunday — plenty of time to try one of everything. As usual, dogs are welcome. Can this get better?

Where: Welcome To Thornbury, 520 High Street, Northcote

When: 12pm-10pm, 7th-8th July
