Victoria Police have confirmed they are attending an incident Malmsbury Youth Juvenile Justice Centre, after three guards were assaulted and the prison was damaged.
They were called at 2.45pm on Sunday afternoon with a group of youths causing trouble.
A police spokesperson confirmed "one staff member will be treated for a facial injury".
It's believed ambulance crews were also called to the centre.
Officers say an investigation is now underway.
It comes just days after the Andrews Government was ordered to remove teens from the maximum security Barwon Adult Prison.
It also follows a series of incident over the past year, including a mass escape in January.
