Police have arrested five suspects believed to be involved in a barbershop fight.
Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives worked with the Maribyrnong Recidivist Tasking Team, Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit, Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit and the Altona North Divisional Response Unit to issue and warrants shortly after 7am across Melbourne's west and north west suburbs.
Police say the simultaneous execution of the warrants followed an in-depth investigation into last month's violent Footscray barbershop affray on June 23.
A 17-year-old boy will be charged with affray, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury and assault with weapon.
Two 15-year-old boys will be charged with affray.
A 20-year-old man from Derrimut will be charged with affray and a 19-year-old man from Aberfeldie will be charged with affray and committing offences whilst on bail. Both of these men have been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on 8 November.
All three youths have been bailed to attend a Children’s court at a later date.
