If big weddings aren’t really your thing then some Melbourne legends have come up with the ultimate alternative!
The Altar Electric is a new wedding venue launching in Melbourne, and it’s described as “the hippest little wedding chapel this side of Vegas”.
Basically it’s a place to have a simple ceremony that is slightly more fancy than going to the registry office.
They explain on their website, “Our ceremonies are short and sharp but big on creating a unique, personal vibe that should be important on your wedding day. Just because you’re getting married ‘registry style’ doesn’t mean your ceremony has to be boring. We are about providing a genuine alternative wedding option for those who want it…and all weddings SHOULD be memorable.”
And just to give this a very Melbourne edge, The Altar Electric is located in laneway bar Ferdydurke.
Sound good to you? Check out their website for all the details.
And if you haven’t returned your Australian Marriage Postal Survey ballot yet, remember to VOTE YES so everyone can have the chance to get married at The Altar Electric (for now, they are offering commitment ceremonies).
