Melbourne Could Be FINALLY Getting The Airport Train Line We Deserve

Even though Skybus, taxis and Ubers can get the job done when it comes to getting to the airport and back, Melbourne has been missing a key option that many major cities already have – a direct train line.

It’s taken a while, but finally funding could go towards building a line that will connect the city and Tullamarine like never before.

Prime Minster Malcolm Turnbull agrees it is time for the project to begin and has pledged a huge $5 billion. He has asked Premier Daniel Andrews to meet him half way.

If it goes ahead, construction could begin in 2020 and would include four routes, including Flemington, Craigieburn and of course, directly into the CBD.

At time of publishing, The Premier was yet to make a public statement on the Prime Minister’s proposal.

Yesterday, it was revealed the Victorian government had new plans to build a tram line between Caulfield and Rowville.
