Is it just me, or is this year going really, really fast? Father’s Day has popped up and you’ll be forgiven for being late to the party.
Here are a few things to consider for Dad’s big day…
1. Belle’s Hot Chicken
Belle’s is hosting a special Father’s Day brunch which should most definitely satisfy his appetite. Lamb & Waffles, Chicken & Waffles with dark meat will be there for the taking, plus speciality drinks like the Belles Smoked Maple Buffalo Old Fashioned!
2. Melbourne Zoo
There will be a big breakfast held in the Lakehouse Café as well as a 2 course lunch in the Zoo’s private function rooms. You’ll either have views of the tamarin monkeys or the tree kangaroos. There is also the chance for Dad to win a brand new BBQ!
3. Mary Eats Cake
This hub of high tea will be having an overhaul – instead of sweets, your Dad will enjoy free-flowing pies, sausages rolls, pork sliders and wedges! Plus, he’ll get to enjoy three bottled beers and chocolate raspberry mousse cake for dessert.
4. Figo Pizza
If your Dad is a sucker for Italian food, take him to Figo for dining experience with unlimited street food. He won’t be able to eat for a week!
5. Melba Restaurant at The Langham (pictured)
If you are looking to splurge, Melba is holding huge buffets for both lunch and dinner. You can expect food like Blue Swimmer crabs, Char Grill, Pacific Oysters and of course, HEAPS of dessert options. They’ll even have a donut and waffle station, and all Dads will take home a Sherrin football!
Did you know Father’s Day is also International Bacon Day? Deliveroo will celebrate both with exclusive menu options. Melburnians will get the chance to try bacon sushi from Salon De Sushi and a chocolate, bacon toffee and maple gel tart from Pierrick Boyer. Yes, it exists.
