Same Sex Marriage - Three Electorates in Queensland Returned a Majority NO Vote

Maranoa residents have voted NO with a resounding 56% of locals voting against Same Sex Marriage.

The survey results were released by the Australia Bureau of Statistics yesterday which shows the region is one of three electorates in Queensland to vote NO.

 

 

Maranoa MP David Littleproud says he will be voting in accordance with the survey results for the electorate and saying NO when the matter comes before parliament.

There were two other Queensland electorates that returned NO vote majorities - Kennedy with 53.3 per cent against and Groom with 50.8 per cent against.
