Mackay and Whitsundays residents need to prepare for tropical cyclone season. The Bureau of Meteorology yesterday releasing their 2018-19 Tropical Cyclone outlook. In the Eastern region we are looking at a sixty per cent chance of fewer Tropical cyclones than usual. While there are fewer predicted this year Bureau staff say residents shouldn't be complacent. Our Tropical Cyclone Outlook for 2018–19 indicates it's likely (63% chance) that we'll see fewer cyclones than usual in the Australian region this season 🌀. The possibility of El Niño is one of the factors influencing this year's outlook. The chance of fog in the early morning. Mostly sunny day. Light winds becoming NE 15 to 25 km/h in the morning then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 14 and 19 with daytime temperatures reaching 28 to 33.
