As Anti Adani protestors descend on Brisbane, Whitsunday’ MP Jason Costigan wants to make it clear coal is far from dead. He has come forward after Anthony Albanese recently made comment that the industry is on another downwards spiral. Mr Costigan says Anthony Albanese is selling out coalminers

 

Local Councils and the PCYC are being urged to apply for funding to help with safety and crime prevention. Member for Dawson George Christensen has put out the call to apply for up to two million dollars in funding for infrastructure or early intervention crime prevention strategies. The Safer Communities Fund has been boosted by an additional thirty million dollars from money confiscated by the Commonwealth as proceeds of crime
