MACKAY Police have charged a man over a string of child exploitation offences. It's alledged the 28 year old established a fake social media account in 20-16 hoping to trick teenage girls in THE WHITSUNDAYS. Parents reported the account to POLICE in 20-17 after they discovered innapropriate and illegal content was being sent to their daughters. INVESTIGATIONS remain ongoing with POLICE asking anyone who may have had contact with the account LUKE NORBIT to come forward. Before the account was shut down earlier this year it had over 600 friends with most believed to be teenage girlsĀ 

POLICE are on the hunt for a MACKAY man who has escaped the CAPRICORN Correctional Centre. 25 year old LEVI JAMES BROWN was serving 7 years for aggravated robbery when he managed to slip supervision yesterday. Running from the ROCKHAMPTON SHOWGROUNDS with 21 year old NELSON JACK KEPA as they engaged in community service work. Despite an extensive search effort the pair remain on the run with POLICE asking residents not to approach them and to call CRIMESTOPPERS if you see or hear from them

A car stolen from HAY POINT has been found in ROCKHAMPTON. The 20-13 TOYOTA PRADO was allegedly stolen from a shed at a home RASMUSSEN STREET Sunday night. The owner made aware of the incident when called by POLICE yesterday saying they'd intercepted it on the BRUCE HIGHWAY.

EMPLOYEES at AURIZON are angry over a new proposed ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT. The company deciding to put the agreement out to a ballot after UNION'S rejected the offer and applied for protected industrial action. Services Union Secretary Neil Henderson says the proposal from Aurizon isn't good enough.

MAGPIES CRUSADERS UNITED play the strong game to scoop up another win in the NPL. Despite their opposition being bottom of the ladder the side didn't let it give them a false sense of confidence.
