PACIFIC NATIONAL turns to REGIONAL QUEENSLAND to recruit and upskill train drivers. Creating 25 new jobs with applicants from TOWNSVILLE, MACKAY, C-Q and BOWEN making the cut. The recruits gaining a nationally recognised qualification and launching their careers in rail. With approximately 30 per cent of the candidates female and the average age thirty five they are fresh faced and diverse


A new 10 year agricultural development action plan has been launched.. aiming to help farmers in MACKAY. The roadmap will look at challenges and strengths to continue the sectors growth. Agricultural and Fisheries Minister Mark Furner says it's a prime industry.
