Traffic light maintenance is currently underway at the intersection of Nebo Road and George Street. Commencing yesterday it's scheduled to take up to two weeks weather permitting. The works will include single lane closures and will be undertaken between 6:30 pm and 5 am. Nearby residents may be subject to noise issues during this time

They're hoping the investment will provide additional opportunities for solutions in the mining sector in terms of efficient and effective service

 

99 more job seekers will benefit from extra funding in MACKAY. The State Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program has been granted over half a million dollars for four new regional projects. The money will give participants the opportunity to obtain a Certificate I in Construction working around the Homebush Mission Hall and Mackay Australian South Sea Island Meeting Hut

 

CHILE mining supply companies are making their mark in MACKAY. ProChile Business Development Manager Mr Giancarlo Tosti-Croce says Mackay is hosting one of the most important mining events in Australia.

 

 

MACKAY CUTTERS walk away defeated after their Bowen clash. Facing off against SUNSHINE COAST Falcons at Denison Park they couldn't hold it together. Going into half time 22 points down they came away with a 40-18 defeat leaving them stranded at the bottom of the leaderboard.

A slow start shook Whitsunday Sharks over the weekend. Coach Margie Sugars said the side had a heart to heart on Saturday night sparking the stellar performance against Wide Bay Thundercats. Bringing their A-game they toppled the Thundercats 73-30 to bring home the glory
