Rio Tinto sells off its 82 per cent stake in Hail Creek Mine. The deal with Glencore mine confirmed around 7pm Tuesday for a whopping $2.2 billion dollars. The sale includes the shares in Hail Creek plus its 71 per cent interest in the Valeria project. The deal is still subject to conditions with the handover scheduled for the second half of this year.
