The RACQ are hoping the STATE GOVERNMENT can find the much needed funds  MACKAY AND THE WHITSUNDAY's need for better road infrstructure. They're calling for dramatic improvements to the PEAK DOWNS HIGHWAY and GREOGORY DEVELOPMENTAL road. RACQ Head of Public Policy Rebecca Michael says it's paramount the region gets funding for the projects to improve safety of all road users.

MACKAY residents can now plug in to a new guide for installing infrastructure for electric cars. The State Government installing fast charge stations from CAIRNS to the New South Wales border, including MACKAY. Now producing AUSTRALIA's first guide to electric car infrastructure for property owners and developers


 CALLING volunteers in MACKAY. The Salvation Army's Red Shield Doorknock Appeal is just around the corner. Salvos Area Director for Mackay Captain Steve Spencer says it's a chance for us to help our neighbours. For more information, check out their website at volunteer.salvos.org.


FREE PARENTING seminars are being held in MACKAY. Founder of the Positive Parenting Program at the University of Queensland Professor Matt Sanders says they cover emotional and social skills needed to handle life's challenges.
