A Mackay after hours house call doctor has saved the life of a baby. Five month old Evelyn Crowley was diagnosed with a heart murmur following a visit from the doctor. Her mother Erin says the diagnosis saved her young daughter's life. 

Residents  have two weeks left to provide feedback on the sugar code of conduct. Sugar cane growers, millers, marketers and the community across MACKAY are encouraged to make submissions. The final report will be delivered to Government by the end of the year with submissions to be made via the Government Agriculture website. Submissions close on the 22nd

 

It'll be all about technology in MACKAY this weekend. The MECHANOS WINGS AND WHEELS taking place at the airport on SATURDAY from 10am. Mayor Greg Williamson says you'll get the chance to see a bit of everything.

 

A nerve centre of science will kick off Queensland Museum's National Science Week at the MECC this weekend. They're hosting a free community day alongside BHP bringing science themed activities, demos, and talks to the region. Queensland Museum Network Acting CEO Dr Jim Thompson says there's plenty of hands on activities for children

A MACKAY teacher has been awarded  the A-F-L Queensland Secondary School Ambassador of the year. Mercy College's JASMIN PACE was given the accolade at Saturday's function. Hosted in Brisbane the event aims to recognise the work of teachers across the State
