A man charged for alleged child grooming in MACKAY has been picked up again. Fresh allegations have come forward after he was released on bail last week. With the parents of several other children speaking to POLICE saying their kids have received lewd messages via gaming platforms, social media and texts

 

A LOVE note from CANADA has ended up on the shores of a WHITSUNDAY beach. CANADIAN resident TOM LOVE putting a note in a bottle while on a cruise... the message travelling more than 6 thousand kilometer to wash up on LONG ISLAND. TOURISM WHITSUNDAYS G-M TASH WHEELER says they hoping to turn this into a tourism opportunity for the region

 

MACKAY locals are being asked to volunteer for NATIONAL TREE DAY. The Botanic Gardens are hosting the day with COUNCIL aiming to plant two thousand trees over two days. It'll be held on July 27th from 10 until noon and then again the following day from 8 until 10 

MACKAY residents are being asked to dig deep to keep RACQ CQ RESCUE chopper in the air. The 412 helicopter based out of the region has completed 15 percent more missions this year.. with less money. CEO IAN ROWAN says they've only just reached half of their modestly set target. 

A pop up play space has arrived at Cannonvale library.. just in time for the school holidays. The kits contain play props, set builds and literacy resources to get kids to immerse themsleves in different worlds.
