Last week there were at least 14 cars stolen locally

A four car pileup yesterday afternoon on Paradise street caused chaos for the school pick up. Emergency services were called just before 4pm with three of the cars receiving significant damage.

 

New data has found that last week there were at least 14 cars stolen locally and reported police across the Mackay district. One further car was linked to an attempted car theft report in North Mackay.nPolice have located eight of the reported stolen cars to date and say that the keys of at least half of the stolen vehicles were found easily around the home. Authorities are ramming home the message- HIDE YOUR KEYS.

 

Clive Palmer's Central Queensland Coal Project has progressed to the next stage- filing and Environmental Impact statement with the Queensland Government. If all is approved coal will be exported through Dalrymple Bay terminal- south of Mackay.

 

AND....Residents are being asked to dig deep calls and donate to Lifeline's largest fundraiser.They needs money to help answer more crisis calls- and volunteers to help in the charity stores. Mackay Business Manager Lyn Lewis says funding is desperately needed to provide more services.
