Two motorcycles were stolen from a garage and three other vehicles were interfered with at Penola on Saturday night.

Between 11.30pm and midnight on Saturday 13 October, three cars parked near Hetherington Avenue and Bowden Street were entered, rifled through and had items stolen.

Police believe a garage was then accessed from one of the parked cars and two motorbikes were stolen.

A Husqvarna medium sized white motorcycle, white with blue and yellow markings and the number 335 marked on the front and sides and a black with white markings peewee child's motorbike bearing the number 53 were stolen.

Witnesses reported hearing a vehicle leaving the area around the same time as the bikes were stolen.

Anyone with information on the theft or whereabouts of the stolen motorcycles is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Residents are reminded to ensure their parked cars are secured and to be mindful of leaving keys or roller door openers in vehicles.
