Thousands in South East SA lost Power last night

Thousands of residents across the South East lost power last night due to SA power commencing load shedding.

On one of the hottest days of Summer so far, the power providers posted on their Facebook page that load shedding had commenced due to lack of available generation supply in the State.

Homes and businesses right across the Limestone Coast were affected, with a reported 40,000 out across the state

While most outages were over within 30-45 minutes, State Energy Minister Tom Koutsantonis said customers had a right to be angry because spare capacity was available, it just wasn't turned on.
