With a spike in theft from motor vehicles, Limestone Coast drivers are being advised to Lock it or Lose it.

 

Mount Gambier Police were called to 18 incidents of interference with motor vehicles in the Mount Gambier area throughout September.

 

Thieves gained entry to vehicles through an unlocked entry point on 12 of these occasions.

 

Police are calling for locals to close, conceal, and lock.

 

Close our vehicle windows, conceal valuables before we park, and lock the doors & windows when leaving the car.


Locals who witness suspicious behaviour around vehicles are urged to contact the Police Assistance Line on 13 14 44 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
