Limestone Coast Police have responded to reports that a man had been shot in the chest with a crossbow bolt.
Officers were called to a home on Panorama Crescent in Naracoorte over the weekend, following reports of the incident.
with responding officers administering first aid to the 37 year old man.
He was then taken to Naracoorte Hospital for Treatment; his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 39 year old Mount Gambier man was arrested at the scene, and has been charged with aggravated assault causing harm.
With the two men known to each other, the incident is not believed to be random.
The Mount Gambier man will appear in local court today.
