There's been a major tourism boost announced for the limestone coast - with an investment of 600 thousand going toward upgrading the facilities at the Naracoorte Caves.

As part of the Australian Government's Tourism Demand Driver infrastructure program funding is being provide for a number of tourism projects around the state.

There are three major parts to the caves 1.4 million dollar upgrade - with a lot of construction work with a cave loop trail to be implemented, the extension of the trail to other areas of the caves and also new signage.

Federal Member for Barker Tony Pasin says it’s a great outcome for the region which will increase visitor numbers and length of stay in the region
