Major Crash Investigating fatal crash

Major Crash Investigators have joined Limestone Coast Police and emergency crews, investigating a fatal crash in the State’s South East.

Officers had received reports of a car hitting a tree on the Riddoch Highway; about 2km north of Naracoorte Road; just after 8.30am on Saturday morning.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 37 year old Crafers woman, has died at the scene.

The fatal incident brings the State’s Road toll to 22, compared with 19 at the same time last year.

Roads in the area have since reopened.

Major Crash Investigators are now examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
