Investigations continuing into suspicious fires

Investigations are continuing into several suspicious fires in Kingston and Wyomi this year.

Police and emergency crews were called to Marine Parade in March, after a small scrub was started.

It was quickly extinguished by members of the public.

The fire was reignited the following day, and burnt through 25m of scrub land.

Fire crews were again called to Marine Parade later that month for a small scrub fire; the blaze was extinguished by members of the public.

A scrub fire was seen burning through grass on the 8th of April, with police and fire crews responding on the same stretch of road.

On Tuesday April 10th, approximately 1000 square metres of scrub were burnt on Marine Parade before it was extinguished.

Limestone Coast Police are calling for locals to remain vigilant of any suspicious behaviour on Marine Parade and surrounds.

Locals with information are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
