The State Government has approved funding for seventeen projects across regional South Australia.
Main streets, walking trails, parks and reserves across regional South Australia are set to see an upgrade, with the Minister for Planning approving 4.6 million in funds.
The grants follow a State Government investment of over 20 million dollars into better parks, reserves and community facilities since 2014.
Regional Councils across the State have sent in 29 applications for the most recent round of funding.
Projects chosen for funding were approved based on the local and State significance of each project, the benefit to the community, and the conservation and recreation value of the project.
$250,000 has been approved for Stage 3 of the Rail Trail in Mount Gambier, to support the construction of new walking tracks.
