Major Crash Investigators have attended at the scene of a fatal crash in the South East.

 

Police and emergency crews were called to the Princes Highway at around 4.45pm Monday September 3rd.

 

It's reported a car was travelling east before it left the road and collided with a tree.

 

The driver and sole occupant of a car, a 58-year-old Mount Gambier woman has died at the scene.

 

The woman’s death takes the State’s road toll to 48, compared to 66 at the same time last year.

 

Police are now calling for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
