The public are invited to a live author event at the Mount Gambier City Hall tomorrow from 7pm, to hear a journey of triumph and tragedy, about the women whose domestic violence story made legal history.

With author and domestic violence survivor Glyn Scott and speakers from various local agencies the event is hoped to open up people’s eyes about what some women and men go through.

Community Engagement Coordinator at the Library Kristi Leamey says while the book is a confronting read, it has a very strong message.

If you would like to know more about support services available for family and domestic violence contact the National Sexual Assault, Domestic Family Violence counselling Service on 1800 RESPECT.

Contact the Library to RSVP for the event Tuesday night.
